Neglected places attract me most. An old house, its walls, doors, windows, furniture and the surroundings converse with me in a tone which is unheard of before. And the contrast of the sudden light and darkness always fascinates me.

I have been painting a series of artworks titled “Interior” for last few years. But interior of what? Of our home or of our heart? The subject of my paintings is inner side or outside of our known and unknown buildings. At the same time, a vibration of deep feelings can be felt here. We have to feel the theme from the bondage of the smooth layer, use of the colour and interesting texture.

In this series of paintings I have been trying to read the chain reaction between the materials and different time and space. Sometimes the sorrow of loneliness, spirituality and mystery enliven the composition on my canvas. Silent archaeological sites and their historical background utter fragmented lines of poems to me. And I have been trying to translate them into paintings.
